Claude adds support for MCP Tasks and Elicitations

ClaudeDevs announced support for MCP Tasks and Elicitations in Claude. The account said Tasks allow Claude to give plugins long-running jobs, such as deep research, and receive a report when the work finishes.

ClaudeDevs said Elicitations let plugins request user input during a task. Its examples include confirming a refund and supplying a missing detail.
