Claude Duet opens research preview for proactive tasks

claudeai announced a research preview of Claude Duet, an app that brings items needing attention to users, completes requested tasks and continues working when they step away. The account said the agent checks before acting on a user's behalf.

claudeai said Duet was designed around Claude Opus 5.5 and carries over memory, skills and connected apps from a user's Claude account. The preview is available through a waitlist for Pro and Max plans in the US; the account cautioned that it can still misjudge urgency.
