Sam Altman questions whether all AI-discovered bugs can be patched

unusual_whales quoted OpenAI CEO Sam Altman saying models can find bugs outside the normal threat model for hackers, including hardware-level problems. The account quoted him saying, "I no longer think we're gonna be able to just patch all the bugs."

IntCyberDigest reported that Altman made the remarks to Stanford students. The account also reported his argument that leaders had patched after Anthropic's Claude Mythos and moved on while model capabilities continued advancing.
