Google introduces Gemini API CLI preview and Agent Compute Engine

LyalinDotCom announced a preview of Gemini API CLI, describing a command-line tool through which agents can generate images, videos, speech and music, analyze media, transcribe audio and manage agents. googlecloud separately announced Agent Compute Engine and expanded Gemini business-agent governance at AGNTCon + MCPCon.

testingcatalog described Agent Compute Engine as a new virtual-machine type for operating AI agents at scale. The account said that the system includes Agent Gateway, Agent Registry, Agent Identity and Agent Observability.
