Claude Duet opens a research preview for a proactive agent app

claudeai announced a research preview of Claude Duet, an app that brings matters needing attention to the user, completes requested tasks and continues working when the user steps away. The account said that it checks before acting on the user's behalf.

The app uses Claude Opus 5.5 and carries over memory, skills and connected apps from the user's Claude account, according to claudeai. Access is through a waitlist for Pro and Max plans in the US, and the account cautioned that the preview can misjudge urgency. pablostanley said that they had joined Anthropic and helped with the app.
